Undying Dominion is built upon EmpireMUD, a dynamic text-based multiplayer online game created by Paul Clarke, itself being a derivitive of CircleMUD. EmpireMUD provides the foundation for Undying Dominion, offering players the ability to create and manage their own empires and, if they so desire, go to war with other players to conquer them and further expand their influence. Undying Dominion stands as a unique experience, offering players the opportunity to join other players in a living world and be a part of the history and lore of the game. Set in a world plagued by darkness and despair, Undying Dominion invites players to carve their own path to glory as they build empires, amass riches, and join the fight against Yelia, the Lord of the Undead, and his legions of undead minions. Players will face constant challenges as they defend against the nightly onslaught of the undead and strive to establish their dominance in a world torn apart by conflict. Or, if they so choose, try to win His favor and be counted amongst the legions of darkness, turning against the living, in return for power and influence. Though, be warned, in so doing, they proclaim themselves to be emenies to the rest of these realms, and are free to be attacked and overthrown without cause.
New players will begin their journey on newbie island, a safe haven where the undead cannot roam. Here, they will learn the ropes of the game and familiarize themselves with its mechanics before venturing forth into the wider world. While newbie island offers safety, players must sail from its shores to other islands or continents in order to establish their empires and claim their rightful place in the world.
To play Undying Dominion, you'll need a MUD client or even just telnet to connect. Simply point your client or telnet to https://undyingdominion.com and use port 4000 to connect to the game world. From there, you'll create your character, choose your path, and embark on an epic adventure filled with danger, intrigue, and untold riches.
